BHUVAN - ISRO's Challenge To Beat Google Earth

Google Earth and Wikimapia has been the most popular geographic information viewing program for the past few years. Now it is ISRO's turn. ISRO ( Indian Space Research Organization) has launched BHUVAN ( means Earth) a satellite mapping tool offering resolution upto 5 metre( compared to Goolgle earth's 200 metres and Wikimapia's 50 metres ) and it is considered to be a great challenge to Google Earth.
NRSA scientist developed the website http://bhuvan.nrsc.gov.in using the data provided by Indian satellites like Resourcesat-1. Apart from the high resolution images it will also include location specific information like humidity level etc.
