Bhuvan Vs Google Earth

Bhuvan - India's latest success in remote sensing application to provide a web based virtual globe is supposed to be a great threat on Google Earth. With the huge traffic following the launch of Bhuvan it is quite interesting to see what are the advantages of using nrsc Bhuvan over Google Earth.
Among the other Virtual globe applications like Wikimapia or google earth Bhuvan is the easiest one for new users to navigate and it is very easy for new users to start using Bhuvan.

Features:
1. High Resolution 2D and 3D image data.
2.Includes thematic information on soil,ocean, forests etc.
3.Shadow Analysis - It allows to set a time and analysis the effect of lighting on terrain.
4. Measurement tools like horizontal distance , vertical distance , aerial distance etc.

Advantages over Google Earth:
1. Fly from one location to any selected location.
2. Zoom level up to 10 meters compared to Google Earth's 200 meters.
3. Image will be upgraded every year ( Google Earth -4 years)
4. Multi Layer Information.
5.Users can view a place on different dates

Some Disadvantages:
1.Site takes longer time to load. ( Bhuvan is launched as Beta . Things going to improve over time).
2.Currently it supports only windows (Both IE and Mozilla) what about Linux with Firefox?.
3. Users can't add their own data to Bhuvan.
